Senior Information

Dear Parents and Seniors,

I pray that you are having a great summer!  As we approach the new school year, I wanted to take the time to let you know about some things to look forward to during your senior year.

Prestige Studios (formally Bryn-Alan) will be mailing out information about senior pictures.   You can call the following number to make your appointment, 398-5606, they are open Tuesday – Saturday.  You are not obligated to purchase your pictures from Prestige.  However, your picture for the yearbook must come from Prestige.  In order to ensure that your proofs are back in time for the yearbook, you need to have your pictures taken by September 2020. Please Note:  Formal Senior pictures submitted for the school’s yearbook must comply with the school’s dress code as outlined in the Parent/Student Manual.

The Jostens representative will be at the school in early October to do a presentation of announcements, caps and gowns, memory books, and t-shirts, which are just a few of the many things that will be available to order.  We will have a mandatory senior meeting in mid-October.  During this time the Herff-Jones Representative will be there to take orders for senior announcements.  Also, if you need a class ring, this would be the time to order one.

The senior trips we will be offering this year are a ski trip and a trip to Disney World.

The ski trip will be January 13 – 16, 2021.  We will be going to Flat Top, West Virginia.  The cost of the trip is $625.00, which includes the following:

  • Transportation

  • Accommodations and breakfast

  • 2 day lift tickets and ski equipment

The Disney Trip will be April 19 – 23, 2021.  The cost of this trip is $675.00, which includes the following:

  • Transportation

  • Accommodations – Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

  • 3 Day Park Hopper Pass to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Epcot, 3 Day ticket Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon and Disney Quest

There is a $100.00 deposit fee per trip due in early August.  The attached form must be signed and returned with the deposit.

In addition, we will be making a senior video for the end of the year.  I will need some pictures of each senior.  The following is a list of what I will need:

           1 – Baby picture

2 – Miscellaneous pictures (family, friends, hobby, etc.)

1 – Graduation picture (we will have the graduation picture on file)

No more than three pictures may be submitted.  These pictures will need to be submitted on a CD or flash drive.  All pictures must be turned in to me no later than October 2020.

There will be information available during the first week of school on the purchase of senior ads.

Reminder:  One of our graduation requirements is to have taken either the ACT or the SAT.  To see the 2020-2021 schedule and register go to the following websites:

There will be a senior parent meeting August 17th. This meeting has all the information you will need to help your senior have a successful senior year and to help prepare for entering college. It will be at 7:00pm so make plans to attend. Finally, there is a senior fee of $100.00 that is due at orientation, August 2, 2018, to off-set the cost of graduation expenses. Information about senior events will also be posted on Twitter, Facebook, the school website, and the bulletin board outside the high school office.

Our prayer is that this will be a very memorable time in the life of your senior.  If you have any questions, please call me at 786-1411.
